PET - Hodgkins Lymphoma
20-year-old female with Hodgkins disease.MR found a metastatic lesion in the mediastinum.
PET ordered to assess the lesion after the first round of chemotherapy.Whole-body
FDG scan found the mediastinal lesion to still be hypermetabolic after therapy.
In addition, a focus of FDG uptake was found on the top of the liver.The PET results
led to a second stronger round of chemotherapy. Another PET after the second series
found the hypermetabolic lesions were eliminated.
