PET - Myocardial Viability
20-year-old male pro soccer player with abnormal electrocardiogram on
routine physical.
No chest pain or angina, PET ordered to assess myocardial perfusion.
PET rest and dypridimole stress NH3 scans showed a similar uptake pattern,
indicating there was not a flow imbalance in the coronary arteries. However,
Patlak analysis showed the flow reserve to be 2.2, compared to an age-matched
control value of >3.
